This site features extra resources for the Intellect journal Studies in Spanish and Latin American CinemasThese materials will be listed by issue number and by article author and name.  We hope to be able to provide extra scholarly and audiovisual resources prepared by our authors to supplement and complement the necessarily space-limited published articles. 

The main editorial team of Studies in Spanish and Latin American Cinemas  includes General Editor Ana M. López (Tulane University); Submission Editor Dolores Tierney (University of Sussex); Book Review Editors Dean Allbritton (Colby College), Nilo Couret (University of Michigan) and Tom Whittaker (University of Warwick); and Social Media Editor Olivia Consentino (Ohio State University). Assistant Editor Cara Becker (Tulane University) and Photo Editor Anthony Couvillon (Tulane University) provide much needed technical and infrastructural support. 

The editorial board is composed of Marvin D’Lugo (Clark University); Santiago Fouz Hernández (Durham University),  Leslie Marsh (Georgia State University), Eva Woods Peiró (Vassar College),  Laura Podalsky (Ohio State University ), and Kathleen Vernon (Stony Brook University).

Formerly published as Studies in Hispanic Cinemas, the journal is dedicated to the study of the cinemas of Spain, Spanish and Portuguese speaking South, Central and North America, including the Caribbean and Brazil. Our target readership includes students, teachers and scholars. The double-blind peer reviewed journal is written in English and/or Spanish to maximize the opportunities for contact between academic disciplines such as Media, Film Studies, Latin American and Post- colonial Studies, as well as Hispanic Studies, thereby encouraging an inter-cultural and inter-disciplinary focus.
